If you're looking for some encouragement and support on your parenting journey, join us for our first ever Parent Connect Group. This group will be meeting in the Family Discipleship Center on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 service to discuss the book Are My Kids on Track?. Launa Jeffery, one of our Marriage and Family Pastors, will be leading the discussion. The group will begin on January 12th and meet weekly for four weeks, ending on February 2nd. Spaces are limited, so register today. You can register online or on the app. More details can be found on the registration page for the group. Questions? Please contact Launa at the email above.
Will there be childcare for this event if we attend another service or do our kids need to go to B4Kids ministries twice on one Sunday? While we know it is not always possible, our preference would be that group participants are here for two services, one for the class and one for a worship service. Participants will be able to utilize the Leaders' Kids Connect Space during the 9:30 service and B4Kids at 11:15 if their children will be attending two services.
Will I receive a copy of the book or do I need to purchase one? All group participants will need to buy or borrow a copy of the book before the group begins.
I know I will miss a week, can I still attend? Absolutely, perfect attendance is not mandatory for this group. However, since spaces are limited and the group only meeting for four weeks, so if you know in advance you will miss more than one group meeting, we ask that you not attend this round and leave a space for someone who can more consistently attend.
Is this geared towards parents of young children as opposed to those with older kids and teens? The content of the book is for parents of pre-school age through late middle school. The authors would probably say for all ages. Parents with infants might be better served if they register for Baby Dedication because we have two really great sessions for parenting and discipling infants.
