Local Outreach

We believe that wherever Jesus’ people are, the world gets better. Through after school programs; by donating food backpacks to fight hunger; or helping people rebuild after a natural disaster, God is providing opportunities to love others and share the Gospel.

» Compassion Clinics – Dentists and other providers from our congregation open their clinics and invite the community to receive free care.

» Barnes School – Many of the kids at Barnes are English language learners. Our congregation partners with Barnes by tutoring these kids during the week.

» Foster Parents’ Night Out – We partner with this organization by hosting a monthly respite care evening for foster parents.

» SHINE – A key after school program is run by SHINE. We’ve partnered with them over the years to provide volunteers who work with students in everything from help with homework to sports to arts and crafts activities.

» Brain Break – When the local schools have in-service days, we open up the Beaverton Foursquare campus to provide a day of Christ-centered educational activities that is like a mini Day Camp.

» Food Backpacks – We work with Holy Trinity’s Food Closet to provide weekend food backpacks that serve 150 local families each week.

» Okanogan Wild Fire Shelters – The Okanogan Complex fires in upstate Washington threatened more than 5000 homes, and ultimately left many homeless. They lost everything. Our teams built pre-fab shelters for many families who would otherwise have been homeless and destitute for the winter.

Global Impact

Beaverton Foursquare has been at work raising up leaders and helping to plant churches around the world as we engage in the Great Commission, including:

» Full Time Missionary Support – The sun never sets on B4 missionaries. We support missionaries in Alaska, China, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, India, Nepal, Central Asia, Poland, France, Spain, and Costa Rica. And we pray for them. It’s an honor to do so as they dedicate their lives to reaching the world for Jesus Christ. We also partner with Foursquare Missions International to train men and women in China, Nepal, India, Tonga, Kiribati, the Solomon Islands and Fiji—encouraging them as they minister in their nations.

» Clean Water Projects– We’re installing a new clean water system at a seminary in the Solomon Islands. The school trains pastors to evangelize and plant churches throughout the 900-plus islands that make up this Paci c Rim nation.

» Chinese Partnerships – Our relationships in China run deep, in particular with a church in Beijing, with whom we’ve conducted numerous exchanges. We’ve had the opportunity to bring our soccer and basketball outreach camps to China and we are continually send teams each year to work with people throughout China through an intensive immersion program for Chinese English teachers.

» Teaching in India – We have a unique opportunity in Northern India with a private Christian school, the Bright Hope English School (BHES). Learning English is the surest way out of poverty in India, but an English education is typically reserved for those who can afford it. By providing a Christian education—that includes learning English—to the poorest of the poor, BHES gives these beautiful girls hope.

» First Nations Bridge Building– The indigenous people of Alaska have been engaged in the rebuilding of their culture and traditions following a century of discouragement. Each year we send numerous multi-generational teams to Prince of Wales Island to work with the Tlinget and Haida people.
