We believe that wherever Jesus’ people are, the world gets better. Through after-school programs; by donating food backpacks to fight hunger; or helping people rebuild after a natural disaster, God is providing opportunities to love others and share the Gospel. Our outreach includes:
» Compassion Clinics – Dentists and other providers from our congregation open their clinics and invite the community to receive free care.
» Barnes School Programs – Many of the kids at Barnes are English language learners. Our congregation partners with Barnes by tutoring these kids during the week, and serving them with an afterschool program on early release Wednesdays.
» Foster Parents’ Night Out – We partner with this organization by hosting a monthly respite care evening for foster parents.
» English Corner – The ability to speak conversational English is a key skill for those who are new to our community and the English language. Though not a typical ESL program, English Corner provides rich relationships and an environment for practicing English.
» Food Backpacks – We work with Holy Trinity’s Food Closet to provide weekend food backpacks that serve 150 local families each week.
» Okanogan Wild Fire Shelters – The Okanogan Complex fires in upstate Washington threatened more than 5000 homes, and ultimately left many homeless. They lost everything. Our teams built pre-fab shelters for many families who would otherwise have been homeless and destitute for the winter.
