A People in a Place, Week 2: Perfect Unity > Imperfect Preference
Smitchell   -

During this week’s message, Pastor Lane asks: “Who do you listen to? Who is the most influential in your life?” Those questions relate directly to 1 Corinthians 10:10-17 where Paul writes to the people in the church in that city who were struggling to be remain unified. Some of them preferred one leader, others wanted someone else. So, Paul challenges them, confronting their love of celebrity. He tells them that they have been called into fellowship (into unity) by Jesus, and instructs them not to divide over personalities or preferences, but to remain unified.
