Waypoints, Week Six: Seeing Isn’t Always Believing”
John chapter 9 relates the story of the healing of a man born blind. Jesus heals this man in a unique way. He doesn’t just touch the man’s eyes and restore his sight. Instead, he does something odd. He mixes up spit and mud, puts it on the blind man’s eyes, and tells him to go wash them off. When he does, the man can see. The man is elated, but the people around him have very different reactions.
