Help support our students in India by committing to pray for one child over the next year.

Pray With Us

As a church, we are honored to support two schools in India not only financially, but through a growing commitment of prayer. Every student represents a story unfolding, a future being shaped, and a life deeply loved by God.

To make that connection tangible, each person in our congregation is invited to receive a student card with a photo and name. This becomes more than a card - it becomes a quiet daily reminder that someone far away is known, seen, and covered in prayer for an entire year.

This is a simple act, but we believe it carries weight in heaven and hope on earth.

"I have called you by name; you are Mine."
Isaiah 43:1

Meet the Schools

Agape Educare Kids’ School
Manipur, India

Nestled in a remote farming village marked by widespread poverty, families face daily challenges made even more difficult by ongoing violent tribal conflict. Many live with uncertainty, fear, and insecurity as tensions continue to affect the region.

This school was founded by Leiyaphy “Aphy” Shrimphrui, who grew up in poverty and was unable to read or write until the age of 10. Through determination and hard work, Aphy eventually earned a Master’s Degree and felt called to return to his home village to create opportunities for children who, like him, lacked access to education.

Ten years ago, he established the school, which now serves 52 children between the ages of 2 and 7. The school provides foundational education in reading, writing, and conversational English, equipping students with skills that can help shape a brighter future. Most of the children come from families who work as low-income farm laborers, and it costs approximately $225 per child each year to operate the school.

Please join us in praying for peace and safety throughout Manipur, protection over the children and their families, and good health during the monsoon season. Pray especially for protection from malaria and waterborne diseases, which become more prevalent during this time of year.

Bright Hope English School
Siliguri, West Bengal, India

Bright Hope English School was founded in 2008 by Premila Ramtel, a Bhutanese refugee who felt called by God to serve some of the most vulnerable children in India.

Located near Siliguri — a city at the crossroads of Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and India — the school serves children from Dalit and Adivasi communities, families who have often been trapped in generational poverty and denied educational opportunities.

Many children who attend Bright Hope come from families where child labor is common and education has been out of reach. To help the poorest students, the school provides housing, meals, and a safe place to learn and grow.

Today, Bright Hope educates children from preschool through 8th grade, teaching them in English, Hindi, and Bengali while sharing the love of Jesus with every student. Graduates have gone on to higher education, better employment opportunities, and transformed futures.

Did You Know?

It costs only about $400 per year to provide a child with education, housing, meals, discipleship, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
