10 – “Restoration” (Miracles – Then + Now)
Smitchell   -

People who need Jesus often fall into two camps: those who are hurting, broken, and feel like they don’t belong in religious spaces — and those whose brokenness is masked by hypocritical religion. In John’s story of a miraculous healing, we see both: a disabled man unable to fully participate in Sabbath worship and religious leaders who favor strict law-observance over mercy. When Jesus heals the man on the Sabbath, these pious religious leaders could not care less and begin persecuting the Lord. However, the Jesus who goes and heals in unexpected ways and places is still the example we follow.
