The Garden
Smitchell   -

The story of humanity and its creation begins in a Garden. And so, it is fitting that the story of our redemption finds its crescendo in a garden, again with The Gardener. When Mary visits the Garden Tomb on Resurrection Sunday, she mistakes the risen Jesus for a gardener through her grief and tears.

When he speaks her name, she realizes he is her Lord, alive again. John always wants us to see his stories as grounded in reality: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” However, his writing is rich with symbolism. What was lost in one garden has now been rescued and reclaimed in another.
