Week 1 – The Year of Yes “Pilgrimage”
We are all on a journey, but are we all on a pilgrimage? In his letter to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul greets them by saying they are in Christ and of Colossse. As Pastor Bo states in this message, “They are of Christ, where love is the fuel of all action, but in Colosse where life is a zero sum game and only the strong survive.” We can all relate to what Pastor Bo shares later: we are “…of Christ – within reach of His goodness and truth but in our own towns, cities, and countries – where hatred and heartache roam our streets. We live in the intersection of God’s delight and the world’s despair.”
And so, we are on a pilgrimage to bring the peace with God in Christ that defines us to a world that needs Jesus. How we do that is the meat of this message.
